Elite Players Experience the UK with West Ham United Foundation
Our annual trip to the UK to visit our partners at the West Ham United Foundation kicked off this week, with over 30 lucky players taking part in an unforgettable football experience.
The adventure began on the training pitches, where West Ham Academy coaches put the players through their paces, giving them a real taste of the intensity and standards expected in UK academies. The group also enjoyed a matchday at The Valley, home of Charlton Athletic, watching a thrilling 3–1 victory over Stevenage Borough.
Another highlight was a visit to the spectacular Tottenham Hotspur Stadium – widely recognised as one of the finest stadiums in the world. Players explored behind the scenes on a guided tour before stopping by the club shop to take home some souvenirs.
The UK tour offers far more than just football; it provides players with valuable insight into the commitment, discipline, and skill required to succeed at the highest level. Away from home, they also gained independence and life experience – learning to look after themselves while representing Elite with pride.
Coaches Andrew, Ben, and Mario, who led the trip, were full of praise for the group. “The experience for the players is truly amazing,” said Andrew. “To train with the coaches who prepare West Ham’s future stars is of massive value. Year on year, the West Ham staff have commented on the improvement in our players’ abilities – and this year was no exception. I can’t wait for the next trip.”
